Out with the terrier last night and we came across this little bugger. You can see the terrier looking to me for guidance but you can see the evil in the hedgehogs eyes, so I slipped the lead on the d

Remember when i was a kid, yused to be loads about, streets and in the bush, people would take them off the street at night and put them in a box for the night and give them milk I think. I was coming from this lads house one evening who was the man when we first got into dogs, the was a park and then a valley below, my first big terrier had one in his mouth, and I got bothered by the fleas and spines and went to smack it out of the dogs mouth and me coat was covering my hand and when I slapped it i got a full hand touch on it because my coat rolled back, fkn hurt for ages

Yes, didn't realise it would be so sore and using me sleeve on my coat pulled over my hand would pull back. Dogs used to find them quite common, and be going at it not letting go. The were a pain like that

Had a lurcher bitch that took one thinking it was a squatter in her younger days ,

and once a dog switches on to them it's almost impossible to break.

Whenever I come across one local I take home to put in the veg patch and

introduce any young dogs to another NO species.

The fleas are a nightmare.

Last year I had one come into the yard every couple of nights. About 1 in the morning the terriers would go nuts. Im sure it was suicidal. Used to get right up to one or the Kennels and then ball itself up. Just far enough away so the dogs couldn't get to it. Fecking thing I must have put it in the field at the end of the garden 4-5 times and the bloody thing kept coming back.

Havnt seen it this year.

Why do I open my mouth! The b*****d was back last night. Big bugger. Don't know if it's the same one. Lol.
