Met Big Buck Today

Recommended Posts

He seems liked he's matured again and filled out. I also think he'd be handy across a nice sal type

Frankel use worked out what's yous are using yet on the old swift bitch?

no nothing set in stone BUT It's good to have all these options in this game though. Always looking to improve and hear people's views.

I'm surprised nobody has used Buck as a stud . He would produce some cracking pups to the right bitch.

He is 1 big dog bird fair play.makes Kierans dog look very small.

I bet Marley is thinking.feck me look at the size on him lol

thanks lads, yeh your right you dont see many lurchers as big with his power, funny thing is alot of dogs act up to Buck, marley was bit like that they leave Bryn get sharp with Buck, maybe there bit scared of him or something . like said before Buck temp brill loves people great with kids, and likes other dogs as well, i know what he can do hunting , so i am really lucky he leaves it there in the field , and not with people or other dogs , i hate to see nasty dogs more so if they were as big as Buck is.

Yeah with been 4 and on the larger side of the scale it's takes them a lot longer to finely get fully mature, people forget that when these's types are 14/16 months old there not like the lighter framed types, either way he's doing his job and that's the main thing

You could go any route with him and been a first cross you know what your getting. Have good summer !

he gets a bit funny with dogs but when he's lamping he's fine with them, think he just likes to think he's the man when other dogs are around not good especially when there bucks size lol. He plays rough which some dogs don't like but I guess it all depends on how he feels when the dogs around at bucks size he maybe felt scared or something?. Who wouldn't lol, but as said he's a different dog when it comes to hunting don't think he would fight dogs as never before done it, but as I said to Ray all it takes I for say my dog to go to far with the playing an then for say Buck to think f**k this I've had enough an snap an make a mess, that's all it takes he tries to push the dogs I think daytime hunting he's totally different as he's focused on hunting than other dogs

It's funny you say that. I remember reading abouts the deerhound crosses being late to mature. My brindle bitch is 3 and matured mentally very early. Was working at 9 months old, my old bitch died suddenly so she was out working and trying to replace her from the off.

Physically she's been 24" and 20kg since she was 12-14 months old and has never budged come summer or winter. Obviously I adjust her feed to the work she's getting but her weight has never moved even by half a kilo.

She finished her first season 8 weeks ago and I've noticed she's filled out around her back and chest. I thought it was just water retention from the season but as said that was 8 weeks ago and she definitely looks more solid all over although definitely not carrying any extra fat. Just weighed her and she's 23kg. Madness that they can start filling out at 3 years old.
