Hate Crimes.

Been hearing a bit on the news about hate crimes numbers rising since the referendum but according to this article they're taking there figures off Facebook. It's a worrying trend that social media is being used more for things like this, it's worrying that somebody that just gets looked at the wrong way posts on a social media site and that's taken to skew the real figures.

Im very skeptical about the recent anti eastern European things that have gone on since the referendum.. Is it right wing hate or left wing mischief... Look at the fruad they tried with the 2nd referendum petition I would put nothing past them.

What most annoys me is that, because of a small, idiotic minority, I am being lumped in with the knuckle draggers who think it is acceptable to abuse the elderly, women and children or to paint graffiti on community centres, simply because I voted "Leave".

 

Most of the attacks have only been verbal thankfully, but no right-thinking person can condone the intimidation of women and children, surely ?

I'm in favour of free speech even if it sometimes is offensive. Sticks and stones and all that. I see no reason why someone should receive a harsher sentence if I was say, beaten for being a 'Scottish b*****d', than beaten because someone doesn't like my face.

I think you,ll actually find in most areas theres rewards for that type of thing.......but i agree in theory.

No excuse for these type of attacks......but if the government wants to stop these attacks they have to recognise the high number of sexual assaults and the physical and racial abuse suffered by the British people from Eastern Europeans a lot of them not all but a lott of them are complete scum.

"Hate Crime" is just a buzzword, in the last week being heavily utilised by the liberal-left, pro-EU brigade. You know what they're like, they're all in favour of free speech, unless it's against what they stand for, then you're a racist, homophobe, bigot, sexist, or instigator of "hate crimes".

 

The tarring of anyone who voted leave as racist is just pathetic, and in my opinion, the remain brigade have dealt with their defeat in a very disgraceful way. They really are very good at whinging, moaning, using labels to humiliate their enemies, and starting pointless petitions. They lost, fair and square, but nearly four million people wanted another referendum. Because they lost. What a bunch of self-righteous t***s! And the remain camp was supposed to mainly consist of young people and the educated!
