bird 9,872
=clean Its not really my bag, although I would go and observe, so I could speak from experience so to speak, however it is their tradition and deeply embedded in their culture, so just because some do gooding tw*t objects does not mean they should stop it, as if they would anyway same here ,not my thing, but being honest ive killed fair few mammals + birds in 30 years of hunting with dogs and guns, and like most on this site tried to be quick+clean in doing so, but enjoyed it. with there culture there are deff more cruel to animals, with bull running (on a rope), throwing donkey of high buildings . bloody hell back in 1975 i went to spain with my brothers and mom+ dad , there was gang of lads throwing stones at a dog in the harbour, the dog was drowning . i stopped them ,i said next twat throws a stone will end up in the sea with the dog, they got the message even they couldn't understand it, well we from wolverhampton lol , we dog got out . Bull fighting there thing , let them do it, we lost ours (fox hunting with dogs ) we lost our culture , let them keep theirs
Astanley 11,568
Put a hairy arsed pitman with his hob nail boots on in there ,then we,d see how good them bulls are .....genuine quote from Earnest Hemingway ,Death in the afternoon
tb25 4,627
Am not sure why hunting is even on this topic as it has nothing to do with stabbing a bull to death for no other reason than entertment.
Mister Gain 1,764
I went to a bullfight with the future wife back in October 1974 at the Plaza De Toros, Alcudia, Majorca. Looking back I now feel it was put on with tourists in mind. The bulls were young, not the big beefy fcukers you generally associate with bull fighting. Seem to recall there was 4 fights (could be wrong though) and all in all I wasn't impressed, felt quite sorry for the young bulls at the time. That said, I agree with bird that it's part of their history and culture and as such should be preserved. Personally I wouldn't attend another one. I dug out a few (very poor) photos.

Waz 4,261
Id love to go and see a bullfight in Spain for the experience & atmosphere, im on the fence as ive never seen it apart from youtube etc. However, when they are running balls through towns and taunting them, I find myself rooting for & in awe of the bulls. Mister Gain 1,764
Even though it was October when I went it was still quite hot and sunny, and everyone squeezed onto the part of the terrace which was in shadow, which made the place look half empty. Oh, and you was allowed to smoke then as well.
