What happens to the bull if he wins over the Matadors? I take it he's up for stud now?

No its slaughtered along with it mother to end the line or so I've read

whys that? Surely defeats the purpose of breeding fighting bulls in the 1st place, would make the Matadors job harder if they were known killers

Finally got my hands on the little parcel DIDO sent me, once I had dusted all the strange white powder off it was all good. I've got a terrible cough now though, sure it's unrelated

 

No, joking aside DIDO is a real gent, after I expressed an interest in bullfighting in this thread he offered to send me over a couple of books and magazines. Considering we've had our fair share of disagreements on here I thought it was really kind gesture, he's obviously very passionate about bullfighting and happy to share that passion.

 

I cracked open "The Last British Bullfighter" this morning and I've had my head buried in it all day, what a character "El Ingles" is. Definitely recommend the book to anyone with an interest My 10 year old niece had a flick through the magazines looking at the pictures and she was really fascinated. Think we've got a new young fan here, though her vegetarian hippy mother isn't too pleased about it....

Anti crap. If the Bulls show any defects the crowd is in uproar and the bull is replaced. The second aspect he's judged on is how hard it goes into the horse.

These bulls aren't sensitive.

Club taurino of London can be a good source of help....but have patience with them....they are either in spain or avoiding controversy in the UK...joining and getting their magazine would be a good source of more upto date information than I can give.

The copy of death in the afternoon is a bit rough...it was a book I bought 20 years ago and is the ideal first book.

 

El Ingles is still about, he's involved with the Manchester club.

Nothing wrong with a well worn book shows it's been enjoyed will be cracking into that once I've finished El Ingles book.
