I think I aught to make up a petition calling for the reinstatement of all imperial measurements. I still have to convert to feet and inches to think what size something is. Some are easy to remember like 400mm or 40cm or 4 dm is 10 times the size of my dick, that is easy to remember, after that it gets confusing.

I think I aught to make up a petition calling for the reinstatement of all imperial measurements. I still have to convert to feet and inches to think what size something is. I'm not so sure. For one thing petrol is a lot cheaper in litres than in gallons but a 2lb roach sounds bigger than a one kilo one even though it isn't.

i've always used both, being in the building game and carpentry....when measuring a piece of wood i use what ever has been the easiest to mark, but doing footings, cavity walls....i'm in mm way more than inches....kilos have always been a pain in the arse tho...

Technically a 2lb roach is 10% smaller than a 1kg one.

 

I said ages ago its a joke how some things are imperial and some are metric. I'm just off to the pub to have a 568ml glass of beer. It's about 1.6km from here.

I never use metric, but even though I'm in my 50s, I don't understand the old money. We lived in Australia when I was a boy, and there money was "metric" when we went there.
