Resignation after resignation ... Bye bye Corbin and good riddance ........

I offered my services to him and the b*****d said I was too far left!

These packed venues are mainly universities and other high brow institutes,i want to see him and Tory leaders visit the estate's of south Wales the north and even the south east go to Chatham Corbin and Cameron go to graves end go to the new Addington estate in Croydon and see what has become of once proud people,

Those are exactly the sort of places he goes to and this idea that he only speaks to students on university campuses is demonstrably false, the last speech I was at that he gave was in a run down old resort town and the audience was predominantly middle aged Old Labour supporters...

The Blairites need to stop acting like spoilt children and accept he's the democratically elected leader of the party and he's not going anywhere while he has the backing of the members and unions. If they don't like that they're welcome to leave the party or cross the floor and join the Tories.

Corbyn's response to vote of no confidence.

In the aftermath of last weeks referendum, our country faces major challenges. Risks to the economy and living standards are growing. The public is divided.

The government is in disarray. Ministers have made it clear they have no exit plan, but are determined to make working people pay with a new round of cuts and tax rises.

Labour has the responsibility to give a lead where the government will not. We need to bring people together, hold the government to account, oppose austerity and set out a path to exit that will protect jobs and incomes.

To do that we need to stand together. Since I was elected leader of our party nine months ago, we have repeatedly defeated the government over its attacks on living standards.

Last month, Labour become the largest party in the local elections. In Thursdays referendum, a narrow majority voted to leave, but two thirds of Labour supporters backed our call for a remain vote.

I was democratically elected leader of our party for a new kind of politics by 60% of Labour members and supporters, and I will not betray them by resigning. Todays vote by MPs has no constitutional legitimacy.

We are a democratic party, with a clear constitution. Our people need Labour party members, trade unionists and MPs to unite behind my leadership at a critical time for our country.

but The 6 million dollar question is does he have the backing of the people?. ...with a early General election on the cards we could see labour become the 3rd biggest party in the UK.

Every major city has a Labour Mayor, Labour became the biggest party during the local elections and have increased their majority in every by-election since Corbyn became leader. I'd say it isn't looking too bad...

And all of that with PLP and media trying to trip him at every turn, imagine what he could do with the party united behind him?

So do you think he will still get the support from the estimated 6 million labour supporters who voted leave in the brexit reffurendum ? Im not saying there all going to defect but i think there going to be a lot with conflicting interests now.

Of course you're right the political landscape has changed a lot since the last GE but I'd say with his eurosceptic views he's got a better chance than a Labour MP who passionately supported Remain...

When was he here in south east Wales last? In fact wasn't he told recently by Carwyn Jones to stay away? He's been to Cardiff, Swansea and Newport never heard of him coming here though.

Think his last visit to Wales was Maesteg in May.

If you want him to come to your area get on to your CLP and tell them to invite him down ;)

Tbh I don't think he'd be welcome here atm, an old lad I was talking to said "He cares about Syrians more than us" his words not mine. This was a really strong Labour area probably still is in a way but lots here are fed up of them, lots go on about the money off the EU for the new college and funding the Heads of the Valley road. But we shouldn't have to rely on the EU for that our government should pay for that. Our council tax is the highest for its band in Wales, £320 above national average, that's probably a local level problem but it's a Labour council so the disdain for them runs all the way to Westminster Labour.

Sounds like the sort of place he needs to go to get his message out ;) let's see what we can do about getting him down there. I'm sure he'll be touring the country as part of this leadership election.

That's for his supporters to do in this area and if he comes here he'll probably go stand by the Aneurin Bevan stones when he should be down in the villages talking to the people. People round here don't want empassioned speeches they want to connect lol

Hairy arsed Durham miners back Corbyn 100%

http://www.durhamminers.org/defend_jeremy_corbyn

A group of so-called Labour MPs appear to have conspired to use the vote on EU membership - called by our political enemies the Tories - as an excuse to overthrow our democratically elected leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn.

These people, many of whom are unheard of, cannot stand any form of democracy and appear to be interested only in themselves. They are attempting to blame Corbyn for the way people of this country have voted in a democratic referendum on EU membership. Do they really believe that ordinary voters do not know how they should vote?

Laughable! "These people, many of whom are unheard of, cannot stand any form of democracy" They were elected by democratic means so how the feck can they not be able to stand any form of democracy? And as for: "many of whom are unheard of" That is a reflection on the writer's ignorance. I would imagine he / she would prefer all MPs to appear in Celebrity Big Brother of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here so they get better known :whistling:

Feckwit!
