We Won The Battle.......

Recommended Posts

There IS a precedent, though - Sturgeon said their referendum was "once in a lifetime", and now look !

The remaining EU are meeting to draw their battle lines against us, while our lame duck PM sits on his hands saying he is "not the right person to lead an exit", and that his successor should envoke article 50.

I say "get on with it Dave - like it or not, your the PM. Do your job !"

i say the head of the military need to go to Downing Street and bash the feck outa Cameron for being such a bitch, toss him out and hold power til a new pm is in

Bet every signature is a mix of students and Lefty types that are either in cloud cuckoo land or have no real experience of life and are to weak and feeble to be free, they need the system to be told

Surely the Referendum was singular in or out and the majority won, isnt that democracy? If only 3 people vote and two vote out then thats the majority. There should be no other Referendum in Either E

It seems Farage agrees with the premise of the petition :hmm: Or at least he did when he thought it'd be Leave losing narrowly

Cmon at least he was active and passionate about it, more than can be said for Corbyn. Love him or hate him he put himself front and centre.

What's that got to do with Farage being massive hypcrite?

Nothing probably but I just thought I'd give that anorak wearing f****r a kick, after all when it comes to the EU he's a hypocrite too mind.
Not really, he stood by everything he said about the problems of the EU but when it came to the referendum he decided it made more sense to remain and try and reform from the inside.

Did you ever actually watch any of the speeches he gave or did you just get what you think his views were from the media?

I did watch a bit aye but to say he was half hearted is being gratuitous, I thought he was supposed to be passionate about stuff he believed in. Not really leader type material imo. ?
Why would he be really passionate about what he considers a deeply flawed organisation? He saw staying in and pushing for reform as the better of two bad choices.

Maybe not a great passionate argument with lots of snappy soundbites but at least it's consistent, considered and honest, the sort of thing everyone is saying they want more of from our politicians. Or would you have preferred him to run a dishonest, passionate campaign where he denied all the problems of the EU?

I don't know what it is, maybe it's just me and anything Labour is still a bit toxic to me. Blairs fault not yours ?

The main people attacking Corbyn are Blairites and Corbyn spent Blair's whole time as leader opposing him so if you hate what Blair did to the Labour party you should be glad to see him as leader...

The torys have feck all to worry about wile Corbyn is at the helm of the labour party might be a different story though if Barnsley lad and ex soldier Dan Jarvis was labours leader.

Corbyn's Labour did better than expected in the recent local elections and have defeated more bills and forced the Tories into more U-turns than the previous leadership. I'd say he's not doing too bad especially when you consider he's got the Blairites and the mainstream press gunning for him 24/7.

Dan Jarvis wouldn't actually be a bad choice for leader when the time comes but for the time being the membership are happy with Corbyn and I see no sign of that changing soon.

Besides Dan has said he's focusing on his young family and has no interest in running for leader at the moment.

Everyone is saying politicians this and that... the way I see it is for the first time in a long time, folk have voted with the hearts not there heads.. there was enough SHITE propaganda from both sides...all false because to be honest unless its planned which I really don't think there were expecting an out.... No one will know what way it will go because the people don't care what the big banks are saying any more they rape us and don't even use Vaseline... police have become military units... apprentiship schemes in trades like construction and engineering , carpentry plumbing for the young will have to come back get them off the streets the xbox ...farming don't have too pump animals full of EU regulated shite anymore... British fishermen will get a quota of there rivers and sea back.

Agenda 21 has been side kicked thank muck... and we will be able too scrap silly laws that Brussells has forced on us! I admit it will be difficult for a bit with currency fluxuation and stuff but all will stabilize everyone of us has work because folk need the trades we do that wont change!

Notice the way there asking all doubters about the result... trying too imply out was a mistake...sit back and enjoy what happens..i love every experience..good or bad! and im ready for the consequences for truth!

Its a sign of the times. Nobody accepts defeat these days. They appeal and appeal against the appeal and take it as far as they can trying to get their own way.

The EU ministers are shit scared of this triggering other countries to get a referendum. One of the EU council stated that they need to get this over and done with as quickly as possible so they can close down any 'populist' activity in other member countries. Read 'populist' as dissatisfaction by voters. The EU are showing their true colours now. It is all about stopping people from having their say.

Fortunately the EU cannot impose Article 50 on any member state. They must respect the member country's own parliamentary process so even though a vote has been taken and decision made to leave, the UK does not have to invoke Article 50 until it is good and ready to do so. Personally I think that Cameron should go immediately and let Gove or Smith get on with the negotiations to leave. The Conservatives will have to seriously consider letting Farage play a part too.

It does make me realise just how undemocratic the EU is when you read all the bile and rhetoric being spouted by those desperate to keep their noses in the EU trough.

I've started a petition to get David Lammy the sack. need 5 people to sign it before it goes live though.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/146554/sponsors/nVQUOM7Rcfs1k2vfbSA

My petition:

Sack David Lammy MP.

The UK has voted in the EU Referendum and as a democracy the result must stand. David Lammy MP is asking for Parliament to ignore democracy and the wishes of over 17 million people. He is not fit to hold the post of MP and should be dismissed immediately.
