At work we have to get all our weed killer containers properly disposed of but farmers are allowed to burn them.We had a little trouble once burning rubbish on our farm. In the end we where told that we could only burn it on the area that we did not have units for or claim subsidies for which was the garden or yard.
trapperman 474
I had to go through the council to get permission when I was taking in tree surgery waste and selling logs and wood chip from my smallholding but was told as a landowner I could only burn waste that was produced on the land nothing that was brought in could be burnt! You wouldn't believe the amount of waste that I produced on 4 acres ?

How do you come to that conclusion mate?I can agree with you to some extent with the big more commercial farms however they cant just do what they want. They have the smaller 100 acer and less famers like our self's jumping through hoops at every opportunity to the extent that its like they no longer want farmers farming and almost everything and every job has ridiculous legislation attached to it.
