Anthony Joshua V Dominic Breazeale

Yet another waste of time bout. Josh win 2rounds Eddie Hearn an absolute joke and just milking Josh to make some money.

Josh definitely a world champion but he is above these bums get fighting chisora, wilder, klitschko, fury.

Tell us how he can fight any of the 4 fighters you have mentioned at this time ?

He is the IBF World champion. Therefore imo he should be challenging for the other belts.

Yes he should have title defences but PPV for this fight is ridiculous. This should be part of the sky package we pay.

Josh will be the best heavyweight for a long time

If AJ had got him out of there early he'd have got ripped apart, he got a good workout and won.....Job done.   AJ seems to be fighting a losing battle at times, 17 fights all ko's and a World Champ

He boxed under the name the beast from the east (end) .... He had 126 professional fights and managed to finish 2 of them which is a testament to his courage .....   Go on the beast .........

I never did like them same day weigh ins !

I understand it i just dont thinks its necessarily the best for boxing...in my opinion boxers make boxing...not promoters...Tyson Fury proves the truth of that...winning the sports biggest prize against the odds through hard graft and determination...good fights sell themselves...that was why Duff was so successful...he used his knowledge of the sport inside and out to make the best fights...what Hearn is doing stacking out these PPV cards with mis-matches will make him money from a certain type of fan in the short term...but i feel will turn fans off in the long run...you only have to look at the copycat circus acts like Hayes last fight to see that...boxings doing well in Britain right now...i just dont think thats down to Hearn.

As competition yes boxers make boxing......but the reason boxing in Britain is currently going through an all time high in popularity and success is not because we have better fighters than we,ve ever had before as your 3 middleweight examples show......its because the money being generated in Britain is beyond virtually anywhere else in the world and that comes through great marketing.............dont get me wrong i cant stand all these silly conversations at the table and suchlike and im totally with you when it comes to our expectations of what constitutes a good contest but the manner in which the whole sport in Britain is run today is vastly different from years ago....Duffs inside knowledge and connections made him aware of Don Currys struggles enabling him to time Honeyghans rise and ultimate challenge for the title and big money fights perfectly......today our managers/promoters dont target the best champions out there to take the title off they target the weakest and most easily gained title in order to get the belt back to Britain and defend it in a football stadium.......ultimately the financial goal is the same its just done in a more obvious way dont forget a fighter like Curry was undisputed with all 3 belts nowadays im not really even sure how many belts there are......Hearn is blamed by people for simply being good at what he does thats all.

My point is there are better learning fights out there for Joshua at this point in his career...Breazeal was ranked 13th by the IBF(but not in the top 15 of any other world governing body) and was suddenly jumped up to No9(without a fight)...its an easy fight thats all about money...i dont think this is the type of fight Duff would of messed about with for a fighter like Joshua at this point in his career...but i think we pretty much agree on Duff...its not always easy to get your point across on the internet...so if you dont mind i will shoehorn a couple of recent Colin Hart quotes on the fight...as he can put it into better words than me

"not that it will worry the paying public, the majority these days seem more interested in ring walks. blaring music and dancing in the aisles between rounds"

"One day we will see Joshua face an opponent who extends him. ONLY then will we know if he is as good as so many THINK"

Hits the nail on the head for me

I'd like it to go 6 or 7 rounds with plenty of ring movement and use of the jab from Aj, a bit like Lewis after he got knocked out, it would do him the world of good for Wilder, cos I reckon Wilder would move away from him, like he did with Stiverne.
