jigsaw 11,865
No malice here gnash, but can you just accept the irish are happy good people, who get on with everybody, when you said its wearing thin, I get a whiff of jealously lol Accept it were loved round the world " Jealous ".......jealous of what ?......if yous go on to reach the final too right i,ll be jealous......not all sports fans see sport as a popularity contest mate Roy Keane has a winning mentality which i like, admire and understand.......i dont like admire or understand this smiley drunken Irishman mentality at all but its certainly nothing to do with jealousy......i,ll have a laugh and a giggle with anyone but i take sport seriously and would see absolutely no glory in being a loser but " loved around the world ". Jigsaw has just said Roy Keane doesnt have a sense of humour because he hates losing and doesnt have fun when he loses.......which about sums it up i guess.......if im going out on the lash give me your drunken Irishmen......if im going out to win at sport give me your Roy Keane types all day long. no gnasher,,i repeat what I said,ROY KEANE DOESNT HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR,....full stop lol..win loose or draw hes a sour kind of chap,I was invited to go overand say hello to him a few years back in a bar by a workmate that was his mate...I thought it better not to join his company as 2 sour oul c**ts might defo not hit it off lol

WILF 46,851
Keano is a gobshite but he is everything I think a player should be mentality wise, if you could bottle it they would jab every player with it before a game. And I have to say I agree with Gnash, there's no glory in loosing.......I personally always detested with a passion those immortal words "well played lads, unlucky" if you lost a game........there's f**k all unlucky about it, no good enough is what it is and that's the truth. I was made up for Ireland tonight and that lad Brady, well, the look in his eyes.....that's how you want your players to be......that lad would have played that game again if you had asked him, he was mental for it........love it !

Nobody said the irish enjoy losing games but if they go into battle and lose they die together as a team and why should fans drop their heads when they lose they payed good money to go there and enjoy themselves its not bootcamp for fcuksake get your chins up and move on.
gnasher16 30,121
Tongue in cheek gnash lol I know what your saying about winning, but us irish know theres more to life than football, were not going to throw are toys out of the pram cause we lost, were not sore losers mate. There enjoying themselves win lose or draw, that doesnt mean were not passionate, were mens men, we just take our oil an move on to the next, If you say so .....not sure i really get it to be honest.......or infact want to......how anyone can enjoy losing is beyond my logic. Not big into soccer but whem ,Mick McCarty was Irish manager and i think it was the world cup and dont ask me where it was as i dont know or give a shit but didnt Roy Keane pull a stropy and leave the tournement just because things were not quite the way he wanted them leting down his country, his team mates and most of all the fans that had travelled and spent there hard earned cash to be there.Roy was a good player who gave his all for both club and country but on that particular occasion i thing he was very un professional, the rest of the squad had to put up with the same conditions, what made him any different, and even though they did do well in that tournement they could have done better if he had not sulked and walked away. I thought he was sent home for being TOO professional ?......he was the captain and wasnt happy with the preparations far as i recall......again,a player like Keane has a winning mentality he,s not interested in going to the biggest football tournaments in his sport to show what a great time he can have i totally get that......didnt he tell Ferguson he was going over there to win it so why stay on an island that doesnt even have a football pitch.......again,its competitive sport not a popularity contest i make him right.
