My 14 week old patterdale was standing growling and baying at a lame crow is this a good or bad sign for me to work her !!!!

Let it be a pup,socialize it with other dogs/stock,work on recall etc before you go worrying about it making the grade.when it's got its big teeth take it ratting .atb dc

When its 2 year old and it comes out of an earth staring at the ground pretending there is nothing home when you know there is then start worrying in the meantime fcuk the crow ha ha.

Carl, all pups will growl at anything strange to them,just tell her no, take her around as much stock as possible until she gets used to them, once they realise its nothing to be afraid of they will take no notice,good luck with your pup,WM

My dogs are adult and never touch a chicken or anything, the would get out the way of them. A dead bird like that when the young the wood hang of it.a Fox to one the is no giving in, the die if the have to. Saying that, in the last decades I have seen some dogs be strange like what yours has done and things and you think that not right and be nothing like the old dog and won't make nothing, but be surprised, seen people keep something like that and the penny dropped and worked. As wm said some pups will need to get used to things and don't take it as a embarrassment

Have you ever been bit by a crow? It's only a baby ffs let it grow a bit before you make any judgements on what it'll be like as an adult.
