forest of dean redneck 11,707
Think the wallaby population has died out according to wikipedia. I have some pics of a wild beaver, taken on the Cotswolds a few years back, which is quite amazing as they don't exist either, I will try and get them across to my iPad so I can stick em up if anyone is interested, and know it's not just some fat bird from Gloucester with her growler out, it's a real life wild beaver, Get them up this have a look

Greyman 28,899
beavers been recently released back in to the british countryside. Heard theres a breeding population on raccoons in yorkshire and the north east. . The Beavers were released in Scotland, there is a scheme in Devon to release them though they are still being held in captivity I think, and another mystery family of wild beaver have been seen on the river otter in Devon though know one seems to know were they came from, and they are thought to be the first wild breeding beavers for 500 years in the uk, so unless they have a car or swim much faster than suspected, I have not got a scubie doo how they have appeared in the middle of the Cotswolds,
beast 1,884
http://www.hows.org.uk/inter/birds/exotics/gbm.htm i know somebody who was involved in removing the porcupines from devon years ago; they had also done a lot of study related to trapping coypu in norfolk previously, which is why they were asked to consult for the porcupines. interesting to read about the skunks in the forest of dean, didnt know about them.

Personally reckon the skunks was just couple of pets got loose, one was killed on road just outside Coleford (I actually drove past it couple times but it had been proper squished by then, though smelt bad)an the young one was just down the road from that, skunks were the animal to have at that time, so can't see why anyone would release hundreds of pounds into the forest.an if there had been a colony more would have been seen and more ending up dead on the road,as their nocturnal an have poor eye sight. DogFox123 1,379
That's just another domestic cat tc,,, notice what colour it is,,,lol How come there are no normal coloured leopard or jaguar filmed,,,,are we to believe the only escapes of proper big cats are black,,,,seemingly the black ones have a real panache for escaping,,,lol By the same token how come they are never tabby or ginger? In that video pesky put up. It has been said that distance is deceiving, yet the constant in that video is the railway lines. From sleeper to the top of the rail is around 8" so when you compare the hight of the animal to the height of the rail it is a bloody big moggy who is three times the height of the rail approx two feet to the shoulder. TC Did they measure the tracks to get a measument of it ? Track gauge is 1435mm or 4ft.8.5inches...
