DIDO.1 22,844
Went to a terraced house yesterday. Did 3 nests from the same spot, 2 on house one on neighbours. Did a detached house this morning, 3 nests on front aspect of house. Then onto another house, one at gutter, one above kitchen and one under decking , all within 10 meters of each ither 1 Quote Link to post

Torquemada 288
There's plenty more around this year than the last few. I've already done probably three times as many as last year and it's still early. Seen loads around taking wood off fences and sheds. Quote Link to post

Tiercel 6,986
I have not seen a wasp yet, we usually have a nest every year either in the house or garden and depending where it is placed decides whether it goes or not. But not seen a wasp. TC Quote Link to post

Sweet feeding like mad as well! Wonder if the wasps were left over from all the nests done by the warden. They have not entered the nest so survived. now sweet feeding as no work to do? Torquemada 288
Their theory is that wasps returning and finding the nest dead do not enter and so survive elsewhere. Without food source inside the nest they become "Scottish", desperate for a drink and up for a Barney. I made the Scottish bit up. But these homeless wasps are responsible for mugging people outside pub's, BBQ's etc etc. Edited August 9, 2016 by Torquemada 1 Quote Link to post
