Some nice minced fatty beef and chicken carcass with a mixed veg side .......     Chicken on the beef .......     More beef on top ......     Mix it all in ........     Veg all mi

Tonight's supper .... chicken two ways .......

Gaz why don't you and few other mates in the midlands arrange to get meat off my mate. It's cheap and sure could come to an arrangement.

Another question?

Also give pup beef rib bones to chew/exercise, been told raw lamb bones are better, any thoughts?

atb

I don't feed chicken wings separately as I mince the whole carcass down I also get a big bag of raw bones weekly so they have plenty of stimulation from those ... As for lamb versus beef the only difference is that lamb ribs are much softer than beef and can be eaten eaily and quickly where as beef ribs keep them entertained longer ......

Do you feed raw chicken wings as a treat Socks?

Our pup was being feed 1 a day before we purchased, so have simply continued.

All the pups were fed a raw BARF diet, but our pup was not fond of it when we got her home on her own, so is having some raw and a little dried

Does any one else feed raw chicken wings?

Wings, legs, thighs - mine love them...

Im waiting on a delivery of chicken necks and carcasses now and that will be the staple of their diet.

At this time of year that is a spot on diet ... When the winter kicks in I tend to switch to more fatty beef as the dogs need more energy in the cold and wet weather ......

Same here mate. Fatty beef and lamb in the winter, I always chuck a pound of green tripe on the grub aswell after a hard session. Not sure how much it helps but I like to think it does.

To be honest green tripe does fukc all much as its low in protein and very high in moisture ... However it is a brilliant filler and if the dogs feel they have a belly full of food then they will settle down quicker go to sleep quicker which means they will recover quicker to go again so in that respect I suppose it does have its use .......

Yeh I've read a few reports that show its low nutritional content but as you say it seems to settle them. Mine love it and always seem to hold a touch more weight when they get a pound on top of their normal grub. But then again a pound of anything extra would probably help them hold weight. Lol

Pros and cons ta tripe moisture very high nutritional value very low ,fat content high but thinking on here I have ran lurchers many yrs ago on little else but beef tripe lots needed of course let's say compared ta beef etc,but recover meal nought better that's if one desires quick results fat fat fat .tripe and chicken mince not carcass beef or lamb with tripe and we have the making of good grub for growers workers and just about any canine involved in high activity fats for the energy fuel from all sources of flesh of fall etc probiotics in tripe natural enzymes kick start the gut ,and fickle eaters soon start ta grub better .i pay three quid full beef paunch better filler has socks says than most cheep kibble strong believer in the tripe in the diet it has its place healthy gut .atb bunnys.
