walshie 2,804
As you may have guessed, I haven't sea fished for many years. If I go and buy some mackerel feather rigs, what do I need to attach them to the main line. Google mentions things like shock leaders? I assume there is a loop either end of the rig, so starting with the end of my line, what do i need to attach the rig and a weight? Swivels? Snaplinks? Knots? You'd never think i'd been runner-up in the charity fishing comp would you? (I don't really like to talk about it though. ) Simple terms appreciated. Quote Link to post
air gun ant 1,666
Weight on the bottom loop and tie your mainline direct to the top loop, you can use link swivels if you like but if your main lines 30lbs ish just tie it on. Quote Link to post

Rabid 1,936
As Tilly says, and don't worry about shock leaders, your not casting with it, literally drop it over the side and start jigging, or troll along behind nice and slow. 2 Quote Link to post
