walshie 2,804
Once the sun goes down below the yardarm it's still a bit chilly in the evenings. When you're having a BBQ and sitting there nattering, it's a shame to go indoors because it's nippy, so what do you lot use to keep warm? I was thinking of getting a chiminea or a fire bowl. What's best? Any pros and cons? Ta.

forest of dean redneck 11,874
Spirit alcohol? But we have a firepit, though I am considering getting 4 sleepers in a square to sit on and just having fire in middle with tripod / trivet for cooking if I don't go down artificial grass route seen as lawn dies every winter. Tyla 3,179
Car wheel rims are the best ones I know, add some scrap steel and a few welds and you have a fire pit and cooking grill. I make and sell them on our campsite and they work really well.
slip lead 862
What paulus suggested, but surround and cover with large stones, depending on what type you use, some will hold heat better than overs.. Edited August 4, 2016 by slip lead
