What's happened to this bloke? His first couple of films were pretty good, but the latest are a joke. I watch them for the comedy factor now. Movie mix seems to have them on every evening.

 

He has stunt doubles now for about half of every film. walking, running, fighting, talking and even standing there it's not him. The titles of the films have nothing to do with what the film is about

 

Every film now he is an ex cia/fed/cop/special forces guy with a drink/gambling problem and he's out for revenge and has to whisper instead of talk.

 

From a martial artist to fat untalented bloke in a big jacket seems like such a shame. I expect he gets paid well for this tat though.

I was watching one on netflicks while back had to turn it off ,it was dire can't even remember what it was

Van Damme is more exciting to watch but his films are pretty much the same too. He always has to avenge his "brudder".

Always liked steven segal as a kid . Its the over the top heroics that was great . As ive got older ive read things about him that shattered the myth . I think hes a compulsive liar of sorts . Loads he has said in interviews in the past have been proved wrong . He said once "I was trained by the great master ********(Cant remember the name) . Turns out that great master died when segal was 2 or something . Lots of other stuff hes said and done have been bollocks . Think the whole thing of him being a sheriff / cop was a bit weak aswell . Think it was done for a TV show and numerous EX xops have come out and slammed it as sensationalised rubbish . Another story about him i read was that on the set of one of his early films he was bragging that it was impossible for anybody to choke him unconcious because hed been taught a ancient technique . The stunt guy had a go at it and duely put him to sleep . The director came in and saw segal unconcious on the floor and when he got up eventualy he had the stunt guy fired . May be bollocks but so many negative things are attached to this man its unreal . Thats not even getting into the mafia extoring money and forcing him into making films for them . He eventually grassed them up i think and testified in court .

 

All that being said this is one of my favourite scenes from films everywhere . Pure cheese and when he was in his prime. Takes about 3-4 mins to get into the fighting

i didn't mind watching him years back, but i haven't seen anything he's done lately, but i didn't find him a believable actor tho.........well.....not as believable as that bird that popped out of that cake topless in under siege.........

iv'e never been a fan of van dam, he's gone all weird of late....he does the cools light beer adverts here......i don't know what he has done to him self of late...he looks hideous for it tho.......

Jason statham the man for the action films.........so my wife tells me.........
