At the moment, I have a guest staying over with me and we're becoming right old pals. A member has sent me his SFS Imp to spend some time with.   Went out with it this evening for an hour. Dropped

Yep.

Well done Rez. Always good to surpass ones self, gives expectations for it to be repeated over and over and then surpassed again. Love or is it lust? is a funny thing when given to inanimate objects such as Air Rifles. Just wonder how the 97 will take two new members to the Secret Harem, LGU and Imp. More to the point how good is your wife with a Frying Pan?

Keep safe and practise your ducking.

All the best

Ha. The 97 is just fine, having a break. LGU's gone back to the owner. Imps planning its next foray soon. Just cant get over how light it is... but delevery plenty of whack.

Also not bad out of the box Rez, Weighs the same as the BSA Lightning XL and XL SE, 3kg / 6.6lb without scope. Now that the Lightning is made in the UK again, seriously looking at that and the HW99. Think the HW99 can be had in .177 - .20 - .22 and .25

I would choose a 99 over a lightening. The 99 is a much better gun all round.

For me it has nothing to do with being better over Forty Yards and beyond. It is about the one that will feel more comfortable for me to shoot, if I go for the BSA and it is as bad as some say it can always be improved later on. It is all about me being able to shoot a Spring Air Rifle again.

Yeah man. Happy to find the last one on chain reaction cycles. It is an ex demo, but got it for £1700 instead of the 2k. Hoping it should last. Mrs has bought an Orbea.

both quality makes rez

I've bought loads of bits off chain reaction over the years, can't fault there pricing and they give you freebee stuff sometimes!

can't justify spending on bikes cos i don't really hammer it any more but i fancy an alpine 160 as a do it all!! ha

makes air gunning seem like a cheap hobby

where do you go riding in lincoin, its pretty flat round there!

happy peddling si

Jess, the other half, said exactly the same thing... Makes air gunning seem cheap :) I could of bought thee best spec mk1 rapid and a Hawke sidewinder and still have enough for a bag, NV, year supply of pellets, new stock and an imp, plus a new CS stock for my 97. God that makes me sick.

F'k me, remember my old man buying me a 500 quid carrera for Christmas in 95 and I swear it was the dog bollox. Seems nowadays bikes in general have gone up 3 x the price.

Whatever happened to Apollo make? :D
