Rez 4,961
At the moment, I have a guest staying over with me and we're becoming right old pals. A member has sent me his SFS Imp to spend some time with. Went out with it this evening for an hour. Dropped two nasty corvids, one being the longest shot Ive took with any calibre and it had to be the first shot of the session! We got off to a epic start. We then set up shop at the base of a large tree, in a natural hide [Mark ] and managed another 'door along with a pigeon. Id shot a few birds last year from this little spot and now the vegetation is in full swing, its as hard to get in as it is to be spotted. But anyway, the Imp... my oh my. I shall be out with it again soon. 10 Quote Link to post

Rez 4,961
Ha. Maybe. I think there a bit 'old hat' now, after VHTV's shinanagans. But, I've always wanted to try one. I think I've got it til the end of the month, so unless the owner needs it back before, I'll be out much more with it. Got some footage of it too, but will sort that another time. 1 Quote Link to post
jonnie bravo 572
Nice one Rez. A bit more fun to shoot than the heavier springers I'd say, a properly 'handy' gun. Coupled with some sfs tuning a delight I imagine. Are you planning on doing some youtube for it? 1 Quote Link to post
just-A-snap 1,269
Well done Rez. Always good to surpass ones self, gives expectations for it to be repeated over and over and then surpassed again. Love or is it lust? is a funny thing when given to inanimate objects such as Air Rifles. Just wonder how the 97 will take two new members to the Secret Harem, LGU and Imp. More to the point how good is your wife with a Frying Pan? Keep safe and practise your ducking. All the best 1 Quote Link to post

Imps planning its next foray soon. Just cant get over how light it is... but delevery plenty of whack. Quote Link to post

Also not bad out of the box Rez, Weighs the same as the BSA Lightning XL and XL SE, 3kg / 6.6lb without scope. Now that the Lightning is made in the UK again, seriously looking at that and the HW99. Think the HW99 can be had in .177 - .20 - .22 and .25 Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Had a Lightening, wank mate, I thought. However, same with me with the 99, might get my own, not an Imp though, waiting this and such, Id probs get one, crown the barrel at 10 inches and drop in a v-mach kit. Issue is, I dont want to be using a lightweight springer all the time, then when I go to pick up a 'proper springer' I feel pussy as its so heavy. And another thing that will perhaps hinder the 99 purchase, is Im skint now Ive forked out 2k on a new bike... best get a decent lock 1 Quote Link to post
just-A-snap 1,269
Can just about manage 3kg / 6.6lb plus scope with the way my hands and arms are at the moment Rez, and around the price that both are "two reasonable nights out with the wife in London" it is worth it to just be able to shoot a springer again. 1 Quote Link to post
