it must be a greyhound if not why would the waterloo cup and other top coursing events be for greyhounds. i know theres coursing for other breeds ie whippets deerhounds salukis so on but the big ones are all for greyhounds. get into first crosses then i would say greyhound x saluki every time . that should get some people going

Pure saluki,s have run in the forley cup on several occasions,Tony Grifthis dog running up to John Bradfods "Roxy" one year,the week after she won the Temple Brewer Trophy,beating saluki bred lurchers.There,s been numerous pure bred salukis doing the buisness on small land and big over the years

Watched a pure bred bitch run the other week and she was a masterpiece at flushing

So,if youve got a pure bred dog of any other breed,say so now and we,ll do a bit of flushing with a large prize for the winner

Comparing greyhound to saluki is just ridiculous there running styles are like chalk and cheese. Iam sure someone some where will have a pure greyhound what can murder daytime hares. Both breeds have floors or why else would there crosses be so popular.

My money would be on the saluki, bred for thousands of years to run down its prey over long distances - the greyhound is a sprinter and runs out of puff far too quickly.
