A Brief History Of Time

Has anyone (except Born Hunter  ) read it?

I bought a copy the other day from a charity shop for a quid. It's supposed to explain the big bang, black holes and stuff in layman's terms.

I've got 1/3 of the way through it and I don't understand it. It's definitely in English, but that's where my understanding ends. Is Hawking just so intelligent that he thinks the average person can comprehend this?

Or am I just thick? :hmm:

Why don't you read it, then dumb it down for the rest of us, BH ?

I read it years ago, but understood very little of it.....just when I though I'd grasped one part, I'd half-forgotten the previous one !!   Doesn't mean you're not thick though, Walshie !

I read it when I was 20, 26 years later I think I would struggle with it more. From what a can remember I at best I understood a quarter of it.
