Ok. So with very little time to play with tonight i decided to head up to the close perm and set the targets out.

The grass was cut about a month ago and with nothing grazing in there its a bit overgrown so I set the target out at 43 yards...any further and it would have been obscured by the long grass.

1 st up was the .177 100 and although I gave a little too much holdover the groups were fairly nice as you can see on the right target.

Now the recently fettled tx in .22

I have put around 700 shots through it now with the new welsh willie kit and let me tell you that ALMOST all hold sensitivity has gone. The stray shot on the left target was me holding too far back with my forehand causing the muzzle to jump slightly p#*×ing me off a lot as it was the fifth shot and it wrecked my group....never mind.

The tx was shot from resting on hand the 100 was off the bipod.

Safe to say I'm happy with both rifles as both are giving sub 5p groups but getting a group like that with a springer is WAY more satisfying.

But yes it will getting plenty of outings very soon hopefully pal?

Sell the hw100 matt lol

Lovely groups. Been thinking about the welsh willy kit recently. Has it affected the power output? And how well does the spring guide fit the spring?

Cheers

Cheers pal.

The power is 11.4 ftlb with 16 grn AA fields but it's how smooth it's made it.

Both the top hat and the spring are a good snug fit and you will get a selection of delrin washers to customise the power you want.

I was looking for mid 11ftlb so I'm happy as it's still improving so may climb just a whisker yet.

My tx just happened to be one of the boisterous ones so I can strongly recommend one of Wills kits based on my experience???

Well I must have jynxed things by practising as I nipped out on the golf course for last light and not a thing showing at all.

Never mind, always tomorrow.

i went out on tusday night matt

full of good intentions and the only shot i let off was emptying the gun before getting back in the car :(

saw one kit in two hours but I'm giving them a free pass at the moment!

I'm pretty happy with my tx but I'm gonna order some new piston rings cos there quite worn, there the thing to keep an eye on cos if if they wear the piston doesn't fire true and the piston seal wears unevenly and on cocking the piston scrapes the underside of the scope rail!

glad your happy with your tune up but but every now and again check whats going in inside, keep on top of the moly and it'll serve you well
