jack44 187
I'm not say the Russian were right in the stadium or out side it last night to attack any innocent person is wrong no matter who they are, but what about all the times the English had other fans running out numbered but listen I know the Russian are as bad as yer lads for attacking innocent people and families at matchesI find pissed up football fans as irritating as anybody else, but from what I've seen so far it's been local football thugs and Russian thugs attacking England fans.I know a lot of you Irish lads will go out of your way to stick the boot in anything English, but this time I think you should wind your neck in until you really know the facts. mate I've English family and friends but just look at the history books yis are at it the hole time just because your lads aren't getting it all there way with the Russian they can't complain
TeDuke 276
There's no excuse for attacking general footy fans whether they are English or not, Russians, locals and marsielle ultras knew what to do to get a rise then ambushed small groups in big numbers, not every fan that was involved in mither went with the sole intention of causing a ruck, the nothern Irish lads were attacked last night leaving 7 injured did they get what they deserved?? Or is it only when the English get attacked does it become there own fault ?? You Welsh boys can sit high on your pedestals chucking your assumptions that every England fan deserves a good hiding but it'll soon be your turn when you meet the Russians as they don't care whether you've gone to fight or notWho's all these Welsh fans saying the English fans deserves a good hiding? Not in the same words but it's what your getting at, the thread started by a Welsh man and like sheep you've all followed and jumped on the band wagon, you yourself are 1 of those sat on your high pedestal posting a video of 1 group of Welsh fans singing with the title meanwhile in bordeaux as if you Welsh never caused a ruck ?? I learnt growing up that it's pointless arguing with idiots that don't know what they're talking about as they'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience, so with that said I'm done enjoy the euros

Lab 10,979
Don't matter who started it So if a bunch of organised Russian Hooligans attack you then you should just take it and not defend yourself ? Or as with Friday night when the first violence flared if local Tunisian's masquerading as French attack you then you just should take it ? I'm not saying violence at football is right but don't believe the media bullshit First Tunisians antagonise the English and when they retaliate the police storm into them and the media have a field day blameing the English as they do which is expected But what's wrong is other British nations then putting the boot in via social media As I say it shows the divide the politicians and media have driven between the Natiions of OUR Union of GB and you's are falling for it It's there for all to see And they are trying to further water down OUR identity re the scaremongering to remain part of the EU I hope the English get organised and give those going at them over France the kicking they deserve . And it would be nice if the Welsh and NI and Eire fans stood shoulder to shoulder with England because it could be their fans next . "I hope the English get organised and give those going at them over France the kicking they deserve" I think that statement says lots about how you get yourselves in so much bother. Sorry mate but your there to play football not fight on the streets. The correct thing to say is I hope the fans don't get in any bother and do the country proud!!
pesky1972 5,336
Can't understand all this blame game stuff. The English have an element of their support who go for the fighting. The Russians are the same. The French do too, and they'll have gone out of their way to engage with the English mob. In truth pretty much all countries do but mostly on a smaller scale than England. None of this is breaking news, and none of it unexpected. Personally I don't give a fcuk about fans fighting who want it, it's just a shame that a few innocent punters will get caught up in it and get hurt. The whole thing maybe has a bit of a more sinister backdrop this time though. UK relations with Russia aren't great, then there's the fcukin state that Europe's in with immigration, ISIS & the terrorist attacks on French soil recently. I also hope that the fracas, and distraction to the French police, doesn't allow some extreme islamist nutcases free passage to mount an attack.
Lab 10,979
Lab they have been given no choice They getting attacked Wouldn't you say it's your right to defend yourself ? It's ok to defend yourself mate. A fight in a pub or in the street that can go on. Running battles chucking chairs and bottles for hours on end is not 'defending' yourself.

I'm not saying who started the fighting the other night, but to make out some North African/French attacked the innocent English support just having a quiet drink in the bar is fcuking ludicrous. I can imagine any passer by that looked even slightly North African getting dogs abuse from the English. And as for putting the boot in..., most of the criticism is coming from English journos, ex-players, politicians etc., not Scots, Irish Welsh etc.
Lab 10,979
Like I say it's expected of the media to point the finger of blame England's way but for lefty English folk sat at home or other home nation nationals to see it as a oppertunity of one upmanship they should be ashamed . Including those on here using it as a tool to score browney points against the English. Ffs shut up!! Nothing I'd like more to be sitting here talking about your shite performances and the banter that goes with it mate. That's part of the rivalry between England and Scotland. The fact we are talking about your behaviour is your own doing I'm afraid. Oh and I'm getting my info from someone who is there....someone who was worried about leaving the pub to go get his Mum and Dad at full-time. I'll leave it there..?? pesky1972 5,336
The Russian lot are running around causing mayhem for hours what should folk do ? The vids are all over YouTube Don't believe the media hype The Tunisians and the Russians have been the aggressors The finger of blame should be pointed their way but the media don't like reporting the truth when England can be a scapegoat. The Russians are probably worse than the English. Seem to have done them anyway. The Welsh will be next. And this is only the beginning for me..., we've still the Germans, Poles,Turks etc. to come. I can see it kicking off all over. You should be pleased..., surely this can do the Brexit campaign no harm at all

Blackbriar 8,569
Just a quick thought....... If French police are trying to stop English fans, who have convictions, from travelling over there, why can't we stop foreign criminals from coming here ?
WILF 47,617
I don't know what everyone's getting all excited about anyway, seeing what you are made of when you go away is part of being a lad. It's easy to be a big man in your local but travelling outside your comfort zone is what tests your metal, it's part and parcel of being away at events like this with your pals. So, a group of lads went to football, had a night out and then had a good f***ing fight with other lads and foreign police lining up against them who were similarly up for it.......what's not to like ? As a wise man once said........so f***ing what !
shepp 2,285
Wilf most of the English lads who are into that sort of thing are on banning orders sat at home with their passports down the local nick till the Euros are over. Most of them over there are everyday folk who have had no choice but to defend themselfs. Just been a British copper on the radio who had collegues over there working on public order at the matches, he was basically saying the same thing.
