Deker 3,478
Hi guys got rid of the r10 in my previous posts now going to be the proud owner of a BSA ultra in .22 fully tunned and regged her the dilemma it.22 any advice on the caliber and tips regards si We all go on about the 177/22 malarkey, they both have their uses and sub 12 ft lb the debate over which is marginal. Both are just as accurate as each other but fly differently. 1 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,551
I shoot both calibres and agree with the previous posts. If it helps any, I find hardly any difference between the calibres out to 30/ 33 yds - after that the .22 trajectory becomes pronounced and as said, you will need to learn your calibration ( points of aim). atb 1 Quote Link to post
mattwhite 1,993
Same as above pal. my hw100 in .177 and tx in .22 are equally as devestating on quarry at whatever range. Just learn your holdover. Your .22 will not be quite as affected by breeze as much as a .177 but although it's travelling slower than your .177 you will find the ft lb at the same range will probably be very similar due to its increased weight. That was a very long winded way of saying " it's just as good and accurate pal "??? Quote Link to post
