DIDO.1 22,844
I'm all set for the wasps and doing plenty of bees that I'm required to do at the minute. Done 6 wasps nests already so could be a good season. The dust stick and ficam have been retired and iv bought a new dr5 and some permethrin dust. I react really bad to ficam and keep filling that duststick is killing me. The vulcan dust seems much more stable to handle. I'll keep a bit of ficam for wasps in public areas! My bee suit has a hole in the face part but I'll wait till I get stung before parting with the money for a new one! Edited June 9, 2016 by DIDO.1 1 Quote Link to post

It makes all my skin tingle, a get areas of my face with no feeling. It seems to just blow everywhere, sat at the side of the vehicle trying to get out of the wind while filling the dust stick up 4 times a day. The vulcan permethrin just seems heavier and more stable 1 Quote Link to post
stormyboy 1,352
Get a pd5. One fill does scores of jobs, less contact with the dust for you. Wasp wand attached will reach anywhere a dust stick will and is easier to control. Quote Link to post
shropshire mole 190
I have a DR5 which I purchased this year for the wasps along with the xl8 lance, have not used both together yet, but the DR5 seems quite good. Also purchased a new bee jacket from www.buzzbeekeepingsupplies.co.uk, as my old Sheriff full suit had started to part around the veil. Used the new jacket a few times so far and is really comfortable and does the job The dust stick is now in reserve, just in case Edited June 14, 2016 by shropshire mole Quote Link to post
stormyboy 1,352
You could have ordered a new veil or hood from sheriff bud. Just patched a small hole in my veil with flyscreen mesh. Lol 1 Quote Link to post
