JDHUNTING 1,817
Yes ,,nail on the head there max,,,I said it on another thread not long ago,,,,,NOTHING,,,,us humans can't and won't accept NOTHING....hear lies the problem,,,and thats why you lot believe ,,,,you can't accept "NOTHING" is what happens to us when we die...we are no difrent any other animal in that respect,,,when we die,,,that's it.. I just find it so hard to believe good chaps intelligent fellas like some of you on these sites believes ,,,it blows my mind it really does,,,, Likewise.....it blows my mind to believe that good intelligent fellas like some of you could believe something can come from that nothing...........................and round the merry go round we go. It works both ways really, if there is nothing what did this "creator" build it with? Also so something so powerful it can create worlds and unviverses but cant send us a simple message saying who they are and what the rules are. But no were to belive the only form of communication is a buring bush and some geezer scribbling it down on a rock. Why not just send us an email and attach photo id? Personally i believe God to be a higher being who doesnt play by our rules so i dont expect explannations or try to treat him like a human being.... but if you want to ask God to send you an email then crack on what harm can it do. Lid 194
In my view neither atheism nor theism can be proven nor disproven, so I take the position of not even trying to. It's not sitting on the fence, it is being realistic.

pesky1972 5,222
No sense arguing with them len, theyll make every excuse in the world, they just dont want to accept theres a creator, an he has rules, an they dont like that? Nothing exploded, il say it again, nothing exploded, an here we are, lol how dumb do you have to be to beleive that, I mean nothing exploded, haha Its physically impossible, proven time an time again, nothing is nothing, so how can that explode, no they cant answer that? Who created the creator..., and what did he/she do before we were created? Did they just sit around with a big pile of elements wishing they came with an instruction manual? Where did they find the stuff to create us with? Evidence of evolution is all around, and inevitable with intelligent life. I don't know if there is some 'supreme being' out there somewhere that has control over everything, but the absolute truth is that no-one does..., and maybe no living person ever will. I'd say plausible.., but extremely unlikely. Some folks need to believe that they have the answers, whereas some of us are comfortable with the not knowing. You creationists don't half bore the t!ts off everyone else with it though. Demanding answers that can't be found and, in the absence of any, reeling off your own fairy tales to fill in the blanks.
Born Hunter 17,763
I feel it necessary to point out that nowhere in mainstream science does anything claim that the universe came from nothing. The Big Bang Theory explains what happened in the time when the universe was very dense a long ass time ago. Today's science makes no attempt to explain how that early universe came to be, just what happened from that point on. Tomorrows science might be able to though....
johnny boy68 11,726
Nothing changes in these threads the same with the Muslim ones, the usual suspects saying one thing and the other usual suspects say another, and around we go again. If you believe or don't that's everybody's prerogative and good for you, some people find comfort in faith but others can't get there head round it, that's just human nature lol. Gets a bit tiresome at times imo.

stevo79 569
Got to agree with Wilf on this. Everything we have here on earth and in the universe is far to beautiful and complex to have started from a bang . What was here before the bang ? Nothing ? There is no such thing as nothing Nothing is actually something How did that nothingness get there before the Big Bang ? I believe in God but I also think maybe folk engineered how he would expect people to behave and live re the bible There will be some lies in there The politicians of the day will have seen to that to suit their agenda I also believe in some pagan beliefs Ie look after Mother Earth and it will look after us. I think some Buddhist teachings are sensible and a good way to live your life and treat people and animals as well as the earth with respect. And because of the above I don't think the Big feller will hold that against me. Big Bang THEORY Or maybe bullshite ? Yes ,,nail on the head there max,,,I said it on another thread not long ago,,,,,NOTHING,,,,us humans can't and won't accept NOTHING....hear lies the problem,,,and thats why you lot believe ,,,,you can't accept "NOTHING" is what happens to us when we die...we are no difrent any other animal in that respect,,,when we die,,,that's it.. Barbarian1990 220
If there is a God and he can sit by why horrible things happen to nice people i don't want anything to do with him regardless of his reasons so I'm going to carry on sinning and have a brilliant time while I'm here because nobody can be certain what's going to happen tomorrow. gnasher16 30,065
Gets a bit tiresome at times imo. I disagree for folk like me who have an inquisitive nature i never get tired of reading different folks views on things like this thats how we learn isnt it......it must get tiresome for folk who think they have all the answers to these type of million dollar questions but what is it they say if your tired of learning your tired of living.
pesky1972 5,222
Craig I'd say at a guess the horrible things that happen are Orcesteated by horrible people not God We were all given free will Wev just been led down the garden path by horrible money grabbing power hungry evil people Some say the devils work .
