Francie 6,368
Serious question for Francie here. As there are however many religions in the world, is each religion arrogant enough to think they are the only ones that are correct and all the other religions and non-religions are wrong? Are they all worshipping the same god under different guises? Or does it all boil down to personal opinion rather than indoctrination? I watched a video the other day of Richard Dawkins chatting with Father George Coyne of the Catholic Church. Dawkins asked Coyne "Do you really believe in the virgin birth?" Coyne gave (IMO) a refreshingly good answer. He said "Whether i believe in it or not, doesn't make it true or not." Why you asking me this for, im not a philosopher ye know mate, thought your big smart science brain could answer that for you, why you asking silly old God beleiver:) Surely you don't have to be philosopher to answer a question about your beliefs. My big science brain tells me they are all deluded, but that doesn't make it so. Ok so you havent read the bible but dismiss it, fair enough, did you look at the link, the bible knew science before it was even thought off, but you stick to your ignorance mate. walshie 2,804
I have read the bible.Back in the day we had to do RI at school. My Mother was very religious. No I didn't look at the link, but here's a couple of contradictions hastily googled as the only one I could think of was an eye for an eye, vs turn the other cheek. Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. —Proverbs 26:4 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. —Proverbs 26:5 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: —Proverbs 24:17 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. —Psalms 58:1 Thou shalt not kill. —Exodus 20:13 Thus sayeth the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side. and slay every man his brother…companion…neighbor. —Exodus 32:27 No man hath seen God at any time. —John 1:18 For I have seen God face to face. —Genesis 32:30 It doesn't really matter to me why they contradict, but if it was something I took literally as some do, I would want to know so I could know which was the right and wrong thing to do. Lenmcharristar 9,762
A very modern reason for GBs demise is the fact most don't believe in religion, thus leaving a vacuum for the riotous pedo, cry racism at every chance Muslims and shitslam, look at what decade it all started, the 90s or the 00s, equal rights for poofs etc all against the bible, also the bible says take your bows, spears and nets and go feed your families, which means our God given right to hunt, fish etc, but it's all went Pete tong since we've lost touch with religion

Francie 6,368
The Bible specifies the perfect dimensions for a stable water vessel (Genesis 6:15). Ship builders today are well aware that the ideal dimension for ship stability is a length six times that of the width. Keep in mind, God told Noah the ideal dimensions for the ark 4,500 years ago. Some 3,500 years ago God commanded His people to have a place outside the camp where they could relieve themselves. They were to each carry a shovel so that they could dig a hole (latrine) and cover their waste. Up until World War I, more soldiers died from disease than war because they did not isolate human waste. Visit: The First Book Of Public Hygiene (Answers In Genesis) Modern medicine? Francie 6,368
6. Oceans contain springs (Job 38:16). The ocean is very deep. Almost all the ocean floor is in total darkness and the pressure there is enormous. It would have been impossible for Job to have explored the "springs of the sea." Until recently, it was thought that oceans were fed only by rivers and rain. Yet in the 1970s, with the help of deep diving research submarines that were constructed to withstand 6,000 pounds-per-square-inch pressure, oceanographers discovered springs on the ocean floors! Visit: Springs of the Ocean Or this, I taking the dogs out, this is getting stupid.
walshie 2,804
The simple fact of the matter Francie is I don't have to prove anything. I don't believe in that mumbo-jumbo and nothing will make me change that. Unfortunately this started off as a decent debate but has ended as usual, with you assuming everyone who doesn't believe is an idiot. Digging a hole to shit in? Wow there really MUST be a god. FFS. Anyway I'll leave it there for now. Please direct your questions to someone who cares.
