Plucky1 1,119
No Gaz I am in dispute with them over their failure to follow proper procedure when dealing with a disiplinary matter" I have been in your position a few times and unless you have them in a watertight case then you are dreaming mate, are you still paid whilst on the sick ?? is it a big company ?? most managers would be expecting you to go on the sick as its always the first thing anyone in dispute does, if you have been there a long time then you will have some protection but one thing is for certain you will never win taking on a company unless there have been glaring errors in the grievance procedure by the management which is unlikely, all companies take advice from company solicitors and unless you are in a decent union then you will have to pay for representation.Lots of people think they are irreplaceable and try to hold a company to ransome thinking nobody can do this job like me (mistakenly) only to find the person who replaces them may not do it quite so well but the job still gets done, think about your reference as they are very important in todays world and no company likes a trouble maker no matter how good at the job they are, sometimes we have to accept discipline, WM

That part of the dispute is clear...they have not followed correct procedure. I can see this going to a tribunral and hopefully the two lads who lost their jobs will either get reinstated or get paid the money the company would be due them in the event of it being decided that they were unfairly dismissed and i was unfairly punished.Cheers

Let's have it right, don't crack on like you are some sort of freedom fighter for a higher cause, defending your downtrodden pals and righting the wrongs of the nasty employer.........in my experience you never are. mr scent 665
Why are your employers obliged to help you with your family related stress issue ? its company policy to help out employees with issues pal . They are very good like that . If you have a drink or drug problem they will even pay for rehab and you can pay them back a few quid a week out of your wages

Atb why would you say that, maybe I am so mature and adult that I've seen enough of life to realise that the way we are now is to look for ways to blame others for our own sensitivity and look for someone to blame/sue for anything we are not happy about, the guy is not happy about something at work and is asking about how to screw time off on what is sick leave and get paid for doing fuckall, two points here i`d like to make clear, 1, if your not happy in your job, walk there are others out there and 2, this is THL, since when has sympathy for being a twat been compulsory
