Biggest problem I'm finding is the time to train for the big days. It isn't easy to find 6-8 hour slots to go out for a bike ride. Not with work and family and dogs and other training. Fan dance will be a breeze compared to the cycling. Haha. Unless we do it in full military kit with a Bergen for a laugh. Lol What sort of miles are you doing in training ?? I did a few shorter time trails and found on longer runs, I had much more stamina and better recovery as I was not flat out , going he'll for leather.. I can do average speed of 20 miles an hour on 10/12 miler and found on longer 50 milers could do 16/17 when I was going well and not pushing overly hard.. Once I got some decent wheels on my bike and areo bars that made a difference.. Even coasting and dropping to the bars,my speed went up by 1 mpg. . 2 Quote Link to post
