keepitcovert 842
Being born in the fifties and living on a council estate as a kid, it seemed your chances were limited, one of the teachers in my school took a particular hatred towards a good friend of mine, always taking the slightest opportunity to pull him down, he told him he would never do any good in life. Whoa did he get that wrong he owns one of the biggest vehicle lease companies in britain and is a multi millionaire. All of us neer do wells in that year didnt do so bad myself included, never made a killing but were comfortable, unlike that sad bstard of a teacher that was so screwed up with hatred ,probably war damage as were many of them of that era. Do you lot have any memories or regrets that often come back to haunt you and would you change the path you chose.

mr scent 665
I'm on 33 but have lots of regrets . I regret ever having my first drink and the damage its done to my body and family .I regret being nice to certain people in the dog world who stabbed me in the back . The biggest regret I have though has always being alcohol . Lost my appendix and and few inches of my pancreas from being an alcoholic and nearly lost my wife's and kids but thankfully I had a second chance and grabbed the bull by the horns
king 11,984
My gran allways used to say. Drink is the root of all evil. Drink is what killed my grandfather.the back yard had flooded due to bust water main. Gran was in hospital.i got home at 18yr old.10pm.water lapping at the back door step.it was like a pond out there. It was very dark there.i was on the bucket throwing water onto the lawn when something caught my eye floating towards me I looked it was my grandfather face down dead. So my gran was right. And that's my biggest regret.going out that night.i should of stayed in.

WILF 47,402
Teachers have changed beyond all recognition now days, they are mostly very good, very positive people who actually want to teach. When I was at school it was very much as you lads describe, a sprinkling of bitter old bullies who looked like they would rather be anywhere else mixed with some really good teachers. I always hated the bullies and got into loads of trouble because I would see them picking on some poor f****r who maybe couldn't read so good, trying to make them look small in front of the class and I would just loose my rag and throw a chair or a table at them. I remember them taking me in the office and about 5 of the senior staff there and pulling out the cane, I just told them straight if they came near me with it is smash it over their f***ing head. By 14 I was expelled and never went back, I sometimes think (having seen modern teachers at work) that I would do things differently if I had my time again but the reality is, it was different times and a different ethic......and I was a different person. Life now offers so much opportunity for kids, and if you look for it you will find it.
