Non Ped Whippet Racing

Recommended Posts

A working whippet is probably a grew, ive raced and worked them and a dog in the 32 to35lb bracket is what i would want for a working dog, that would be to big for KC standards.

had none ped whippet bitch 20in 20lb fast little thing, some of the dogs down the track went up34lb, strong little buggers , they had a look of staff about them as well, a lad there used 2 brothers on fox and they killed fair few as well i like none ped racing whippets great dogs

The type i have seen was ped whippet to greyhound half crosses some say injury prone no stamina. The most exciting to watch run ive seen put everything in good memories of these types back in the 80s/90s.

only problem i had was there feet didnt last on stony arable land and there skin was fine , so didnt get any more but they gave the dogs more pace just had to breed them back to get feet as its dry rough land , once i bred them back to coursing dogs hunting lurchers got an ideal mix
