philpot 4,992
A friend of mine sent about 50 of these pellets for me to try, comparing against Bisley Mags in the HW100. Now after I had been to the range today, I had about 20 pellets left so 10 mins ago, I popped into the garden and shot them in the TX. Okay they shot about one mildot lower than FAP but apart from some fliers which was me, they grouped well ( grouped well for me bearing in mind I am still on a learning curve with this gun). Has anyone else used them in a TX and how did you find them/or still using them. Are springers in general better with lighter pellets or does it make any difference what weight of pellet is used providing they group well. Phil Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Only used them in my rapid Phil, assuming they'd be mint, but unfortunately they weren't, but I must admit I wish they were. They came with very high reco though from the lads on the R7OC, so I would perhaps look at them in my HM. Not sure they do them in .20, which is a shame. Quote Link to post
si brown 8,486
never been a big jsb fan, aa field in the tx for me! I've all sorts of 177 pellets but the aa's come out on top for me.... yes there made in the same factory but they use different moulds and the QC is a lot better! I'm no springer guru this is just what works for me and I'm happy with this at 20m atb si 2 Quote Link to post

The thing is, that trigger takes some getting used too, when I went back to my HW afterwards, my god is the second stage light, so spent an hour or two with that just to get back used to using it. Its amazing how you get used to one element of your rifle and then use another one and bugger me, all the hard work un done. Anyway. Back on subject. 2 Quote Link to post

Coypu Hunter 486
I use JSB Exact Heavies (4.52) in my FAC HW97 (13 fpe), and they'll churn out 9mm groups all day at 33 yards. Before I V-mached it, the rifle liked medium-weight AA Fields and Weihrauch F&T Specials at sub-12 fpe. I find that the Heavies are best suited to FAC or "magnum" springers, but a little too heavy for 12 fpe rifles. Same for my 16 fpe HW85 -- Bisley Magnums, JSB Jumbo Monsters, H&N Baracuda Match and Baracuda Power shoot best through it, and they're all on the heavy side. For your TX (is it .177 or .22?) have you thought about trying one of the JSB Test tins, which contains a variety of different pellets/head sizes? Should sort out its favourite diet, at least in terms of head size... http://voymir.com/jsb-177/291-jsb-diabolo-exact-test-airgun-pellets-cal-177-7-x-50pcs-5906554324010.html http://voymir.com/jsb-22/366-jsb-diabolo-jumbo-exact-test-airgun-pellets-cal-22-7-x-30pcs-5906554324010.html Quote Link to post
