I like leather ,but the SS stuff for hard wearing trustworthiness and longevity leave it for dead ,and despite how he comes across on here he is a very pleasant young man .

If there was an ounce of truth in what you say about £5 buffalo collars Morton then how has strong stuff sold his collars to thousands of dog lads with strong dogs world wide?   Genuine question. I'

My little girl really rates strong stuff gear...

To be fair my mate preaches about not running dogs with collars on he reckons its a danger to the dog around hedges etc.....few of my pals use what they call gypsy slips which the collar releases when you let go of the choker leather. I still use a collar and slip though.

Sure a collar can get caught up in a hedge but the chances of sommat fatal are slim. Dont forget how tough a dogs neck can be and how a sensible, seasoned mutt will adjust speed as it approaches and goes in on hedges. More chance of it loosing an eye or breaking its neck with a full on blow, both of which has happened to my dogs. Never had a hedge collar snagg.

I've seen those gypsy slips a few times mate, they are a crackin, little used gem.

Never learned how to do it though. ;)

Good arent they, gona give my bigger bitch a go using one come start of the season. Ive always thought the risk is minimal.......but il be red faced if either of mine write themselves off due to a collar snag when im out thats for sure :/

Any pic of gypsy slip mate

Haven't got any pics pal, quite rare to see them even at game fayres etc. The lads have em made to size by some old chap.

I've got a couple of slips here that don't require a collar but I'm not sure if they are the gypsy slips you mention.

Will get a pic up.
