Bosun11 537
Like Kay i never grew up in a hugs & kisses family, none the worse for it either! Though i'm a big hugs & kisses man with both my wife and daughter, it's lovely..!
keepdiggin 9,561
Kisses and hugs have no age limit, but they should have a time and a place....... When I was a lad of 14 or 15, there was a particularly unfortunate boy at school whose life was made a misery, because his mum insisted on walking him to school and kissing him goodbye at the gates ........poor ba5tard ! tb25?
Malt 379
Hug and kiso my kids all the time, all 4 of them ages from 7 to 22.. About to be a grandad and I'll be exactly the same with her. The hugs are starting to turn into mini boxing/wrestling matches with my 13 year old son now though, and I love it! Like others have said, if your kid still wants a hug, give them one I say.. Very old fashioned way of thinking about not hugging your kids after a certain age IMO.. It's a bit like the argument about keeping your dogs inside making it soft and not so good a worker.. WILF 47,494
Is there a age to stop the kissers and hugs? I kiss and hug my son before and after school and when ever really.hes ten nearly 11 .still hold his hand crossing RDS.was told to day by someone ..don't you think he's abit old for that. .it's only last year I stopped having a bath with him as you do with kids..looked at me like am a pedo or something..what's your thoughts on this. No IMHO, there is no age to stop......I will give my kids a kiss and cuddle for all the years I walk this earth. My brothers are 66 and 68.....I still give them a kiss. I'm proud to hold my daughters arm walking down the street or crossing the road and my boys are still little so if course I hold their hand.....and I always give them a kiss when I drop them off to school and I always will.

gnipper 6,531
I tell my parents in love them all the time and I kiss my mum every time I see her, one day I won't be able to. I'm affectionate to my kids but my youngest is not the sort of kid who likes to be kissed and cuddled a lot.
DIDO.1 22,845
Hug and kiss em at every chance. Tell em you love em, and your parents if you still have em. Spend time with those who are your world NOW!! You never know when any of them may be gone for ever

whiteracer 258
My 5 year old daughter is very affectionate and loves kisses n cuddles, great to see her run out of school and into my arms every day without fail, my son who is turning 12 still gets a kiss goodbye ( behind the door while his mates are outside ) before school, then when I pick him up we ' touch fists' as its COOL as his mates are with him! Last thing before I go to bed myself both kids get kissed good night and told I love them! Must admit when both my kids were young my wife always wanted to stick them in the bath with me but it's one thing I ve never been comfortable with...... Not saying it's wrong mind but just not for me!

LaraCroft 863
Tell them while you can. If you can't do it face to face ( and not everyone can,it isn't a criticism, just how some are ), tell them on the phone, or by text, or email - just tell them. One day they won't be there to hear it - either because they aren't. or you aren't. Life is too short and too precious to risk them not hearing the words. They may know you love them, and you may know that they know this - but hearing it is a special thing, whatever age they are.
