That Oil Trick On The Hw100 Mag Works A Treat

After having a bit of an issue with the hw100 mag

 

i had read on here that a light oil of the mag will help with the groupings

 

and after trying to zero her in the other night i found that one of the mags made a clicking noise when putting the pellets into the mag

 

so i gave both of the mags a light spray with 3in1 oil

 

and set about seeing what she was like to day i used the second full mill dot so to keep my zero distance

 

after a bit of playing around she was spot on

 

well happy with her now

Dont know Toby but after the way it was shooting ill take the chance lol

 

and the pellets just fall in now no clicking what so ever

Dirt and grit will stick to the oil, not a good place for grit to collect.

just see how it goes now . i know you can get oil that is o-ring friendly . only time will tell ?

Just gave them a light spray and then a wipe over with a cloth basically just gave them a clean

2 drops of 3 in 1 oil down the barrel and a pellet to spread it out does me Mac, about the only maintenance I do to my guns.

That has worked very nicely Jimmy!!

I haven't got the 3 in 1 so I just very lightly spray Napier and it does a good job.

Sod American Express, 3 in1 oil is the one, do not leave home without it.

Just done the same to the hw100 177 mags to but iv changed back to bis mags as well

 

its been in my mind now for a while as i no how hard they hit

 

so im going to give them a go for now

Anything that gives you more confidence is always welcome, it is amazing that a small drop of lubricant can make all the difference in performance and with that extra confidence.

I started on jsb's in my .177 100 and then gave the bis mags a try with Marks tac driver method and a spray on the mag and the bis mags are bloody lethal.

I took a rabbit with a near perfect head shot at 56 yards the other night and the crack when the pellet hit home was unreal....stone dead Jimmy.

Tasty looking groups your getting with them too pal.
