Now most of the students are finished there exams and headed off for the summer we thought it was time to lamp the university , booked in got the police number pumped up the gun and got organised . Straight round to the research park and the first rabbits in the bag then i start to settle down .

A rabbit crossed the road and i cant pick it up with the lamp them my son says its sitting under the kerb , this rabbit was tiny straight out the nest and mini me missed it so thought he would just run out and pick it up , the rabbit had other ideas and i creased up with this wee rabbit getting the best of my 6 foot six son trying to pick it up .

We did a circuit and we got maybe six rabbits but it took a good couple of hours to check out all the roads so back to the start and after 1 am its like somebody opened a door and theres good amount of rabbits out now . I had enough at 04.30 and called time we had 33 rabbits the smallest being 3/4 grown Mini me wasnt happy he wanted to stay on and start shooting the pigeons and crows so he got a pigeon and we left home for 5 am up at noon sorted out the rabbits batterys on charge and lamps away , and more importantly enough rabbits to feed the ferrets for a month , give it a fortnight and i cant wait to give it another go its really handy to be able to go there when i struggle to get on the farms at this time of year

There where only a few at the start of term time so i left them alone and now there breeding theres good numbers once more and i can feed the ferrets all summer on them hopefully ,As i go round in the patrol van at night i started putting my torch on them and they scarpered but after ten weeks they where sitting right next to you as you drove past them shining the torch at them so i figured its time to hit them
