Monkey and pony.......it only me and a couple of other blokes I know ever say that.....

what about a score and a bullseye

Everyone says that mate, that's an every day term most places I would think

My old man says Pony and monkey, plus a lady for a fiver...

yeah, that's more like a cockney rhyming slang, rather than the old time sayings that have gone modern,

'Roll up yer Echo'

 

Referal to packed terraces at football. When you couldn't get to the toilet, so rolled up your newspaper and peed down that.

Often done on the Kop at Anfield, which is why Evertonians say Anfield stinks of piss....

From my dim and distant past when my dad was a club steward in Leeds: Jubilee Stout, Mackison, Babycham and Cherry B. Those little cherries on plastic sticks shaped like a sword and everybody having to be quiet when the bingo started.

I was talking to my sister on the phone about someone & said if I ever see him again anywhere i'm going to twat him one (it means punch) . She started to laugh & I said i'm being serious , her reply was i've never heard that saying since we were kids .

Also racist terms like Shwartz or kaffa as in " I had a fight with that big Kaffa or Shwartz " maybe that was just around my way though , but still haven't heard them for years lol .

 

You should watch re-runs of the Sweeney.
