Those same Millwall and other Twats of the 1970s was in a large part the young lads on Foot Patrol on the street of Northern Ireland. Again it is not acceptable anywhere at any time.

All the best

I always had a bit of respect for the Millwall of old

Total bunch of twats , stabbing folk and creating around families has never been acceptable behaviour not in any decade. I can't work out why some of the old respected heads don't get some order? Letting lads stabb and bully families is not on .

And who here said it was? it is not acceptable anywhere at any time. But it happens outside of football every Friday night in almost every Town Centre. The World is Full of Twats. Most of us do not get to see it any more thank The Good Lord.

All the best

Nobody on here said it was acceptable , my post was not directed at you or a reply to yours , just my opinion . I enjoyed the 70s 80s football and the culture that went with it. It never included the bullying towards families .following football has changed, families and lads end up sat together . Have a meet and a fallout but do it away from families having a day out at Wembley .

Well said yorkshire, just for the rerecord one more time and for those who just read that they wish to see and not that is actually there. It is not acceptable anywhere at any time.

Dirty millwall c**ts I was there and to say millwall fans are the loyalist fan hahahaha wanting to fight and throwing chairs at families with kids there not fans there dick heads. And it's just been on the news millwall fans tip disabled Barnsley fan of wheelchair

Just how many Millwall fans at the game mate? how many of all those thousands committed a crime?

All the best

I have the pleasure of attending most grounds in all the leagues and always have a craic with fans of both sides, its easy for me being a neutral and I enjoy seeing decent football played wherever it is but the Millwall fans on the whole were all p*ssed up animals on the day with a bad hardcore 2000 that were there just for trouble, the police outside Wembley were extremely tolerant of the threats and abuse, I thought they could of arrested hundreds easily for public affray or being drunk, I am not looking forward to my trips there this year, by the way the referees and linesmen were pelted with coins and god knows what each time Barnsley scored, the better footballing side won on the day and good luck to Barnsley in the championship, they will not look out of place in that league, WM

Thank you for that Plucky1, was not at the match, family commitments,. I have no reason to dispute you. How many Millwall fans at the match? to all be Labelled as Millwall C***s, I will not except from anyone who ever they think they are. Millwall fans did not take their children to the game/ Millwall fans disregard their family's safety? or are all of those men, woman and children all C***s?

When you say " in a large part "......do you actually mean 2 ?........where on earth did this affiliation with soldiers in Northern Ireland ever come from  far as i remember it was 2 brothers off the Silwood Estate .....not the sas, ninja warriors or the A team they were just normal scruffy lads off the estates same as everyone else !.......is that fat ginger lad spinning yarns again........similar to the " i broke both my arms both my legs had a dislocated neck fractured skull punctured lung and an axe sticking out of my head...........but i kept fighting back " stories........f****n roll on !!

Today's Millwall fans will always try to emulate those of the 1970s, the rest of the football community encourages it, by never letting Millwall forget their Past. Millwall have always produced good teems with good players. Every now and then it finds in its hands a few diamonds, they are quickly sold. You will be very hard pushed to find more loyal fans in any part of the UK. All that is needed is for them to find owners who are willing to spend stupid amount of money, that is now I am sorry to say today's football. Maybe then Millwall can progress to becoming fully part of the Money Grasping Thieves who have taken over the game.

Violence to my mind has no part in today's football, it had its part in the 1970s everywhere in Football at Home and Abroad. People it seems have forget the apathy and divided country we had then. But then Football is no longer the peoples game.

Good luck to you Bansley and to all your fans. Hope to see both of us progress, from a Fifty Nine year old ex 1970s Hooligan, Millwall Supporter.

All the best

" never letting them forget their past "......they are desperately holding onto it.....its the only thing the club is known for thats why the younguns are still trying to carry it on.....the films glamorised it all and Millwall fans finally had something to shout about, something that everyone else had long grown out of why do you think they only turn it on when the telly cameras turn up !

I dont have a problem with young lads fighting other young lads it was a culture we was all into back then but to see these f****n idiots from back then running round in their Stone Island tops trying to keep up with the kids and the kids looking at them as if to say " what do we do now "......is clutching at memories from the past that have no relevance to anything today......people have changed, football has changed, trends have changed.........what them pricks are doing now is not even remotely similar to the good old bad old days.

We know its not acceptable whats that got to do with anything.......you stated that there was a lot of soldiers that patrolled the streets of Northern Ireland within the Bushwhackers........im saying there was 2.........are you saying it was more than 2 ?.......its not a difficult question mate.

If lads are still fighting inside grounds then more fool them. Far too many CCTV cameras and mobile phone cameras to risk your Liberty now a days

Back in the day was totally different but I suppose some people just never learn
