Castrated Hobs..how Long Before They Can Be Put Together

Hello all,

I have had hobs vasectomised in the past but I have decided to have 3 hobs castrated next week..so they can all be kept in the same pen/hutch together.

After the opp,How long do they need before I can put them all together ? with the vasectomy its a long while,But surely after losing their sacks it should be a shorter recovery and less testosterone etc etc because they won't be producing anymore.

I feel sorry for the poor lads pacing the hutches and wearing out the wheels in frustration.

It might be about the same time frame Vin as they will need time to stop producing and empty there reserves better asking the vet when you take them in

i would be keeping your best hob in full working order just incase mate. alot can happen between now and the end of next season you might be wanting some more ferrets at some point.

that dig we had at the end of last season for chuckles is a prime example of how quick things can not go exactly to plan when out in the field. we was lucky to see him again.

There's no way a vets going near my best mate "Chuckles" he has sired a litter of kits to a good Jill belonging to a mate.. I'm hoping to get him over as many jills as poss before he pops his cork or is lost in action etc etc.

Anyone who wants to use him are welcome. . He's a one off and its this type of grafter that needs to be bred from.
