I was about to start a thread on here stating that BULLSHITTERS ruin good dogs,this highlights it perfectly Frank,somebody has probably fed him bullshit about white dogs and he has that in the back of his mind each time his dog misses a rabbit ,which could have been missed by the best dog.

The best dog I ever owned and went out lamping with was white as the driven snow,Beddie whippet cross would take everything,the only white the the rabits seen of him was his TEETH when they were clamping on them.

there are still a few round that think that crap..i've seen black dogs stand out as much- because of a solid outline. the brindles are better if you want them to disappear, but as said- the lamp is a little bit more noticable if you ask me..

i'll take all the good white ones you don't like..messers. lol

i found this pic on the net..seems it was a white cross bred dog used to trail shot deer in guam, back in the 90's..

it's colour doesn't seem to have been a problem, as it states it was used successfully for years...

S, sure i know what you mean, been out with your white bitch Lilly a few times and she done great, good bitch and no rabbit ran away from her being white.

 

Cooper, i had a very similar dog in that pic, back in the 90's, she did the same act, pic of her below.

 

Crow, the lad is a twat, simple really, he does'nt know he has a good dog, hopefully he will regret it and find the error of his ways. He got it from his father though i reckon, who is in the bread and milk bregade! Old wife tales and all that malarky.

well my uncle used to buy only white dogs because they were easyier to see at night out of the lamp but he quickly relived he was turning down good dogs because of there colour so i sugested flouro collars that refeltc the light like a orange or yellow except now he belives that white heads on a dog are bad because they reflect the light from there noses in to there eyes (bulshit) which makes it hard for them to see also that like your friend a fox will see it coming

iv also heard poeple telling me they wont get a terrier with a white head because a fox can see it down a hole

then iv heard poeple say they will only get a terrier with a white head because the fox can see it down a hole it is very confusing

and im sure there is som truth to one of the bull crap stories above but i donno the more idiots out there that keep srewing up the more game there is for me and my dogs

Frank she is still hovering them up, she is getting better by the session. The new fella is turning out to be a good one, watches every thing and will chase anything that moves. His training is coming on grand, he is still only six months so plenty of time for him next year.
