fat man 4,741
We were out on Lene again yesterday and fished for around 2 hours with not asmuch as a pull.I then decided to move and started trolling over and back along a shelf in the lake where it drops from aroun 6ft to arounf 10-12.This runs for about 300yds and after about 15min my mate Eamon was into a fish and landed a nice 4lb rainbow, few later i was in and a fish of around 3lb was also in the boat.Things went quiet then for about half an hour and then i was into a 2nd fish which joined the other 2 in the boat and within seconds of starting to troll agsain Eamon was in and another fish was in the boat.We fished for about another hour with Eamon losing a fish at the side of the boat but that was our lot but we were happy enough with our day. 2 Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,416
That lake seems to be fishing it's head off this year because all I hear from it is plenty of big trout being caught, including on the fly. Last year everyone was complaining about how bad it was. Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,416
FFS Fatman ye must have a path worn up and down that lake by now. The trout seem to be the only fish really biting at the moment. Coarse fish are spawning and the Mackerel aren't in properly yet. Quote Link to post

Lol,have to try and keep the numbers down and the freezer full, was chatting to a lad today that was also on Lene yesterday and he was fly fishing and was on the lake from 8am until 7pm and caught nothing and told me it was much the same with the rest of the lads using the fly.A mate of mine was on it on friday along with his 9 year old son and the young lad hooked and boated a 8.6 rainbow and within 5 minutes boated a 4.6 brownie all on the taz. 1 Quote Link to post
