my hounds 307
With Omanyra mentioning "feet" heres a few photos of my Cooklands first crosses,on the Deerhound side he has Doxhope Knights Errant and Doxhope Ambecky in him, born with good feet to me by keeping the nails short(maybe too short for some people)I feel it has helped maintain a good shape of foot and helped reduce the risk of injuries. 5 Quote Link to post

Maximus Ferret 2,063
They are. I particularly like the look of the first fawn one, with the darker face and slightly stronger build. Edited June 13, 2016 by Maximus Ferret 1 Quote Link to post

MIK 4,756
I know a lad that was up here for a few years a lad I really got on with ...who was a slip at a lot of these deerhound coursing meets and his pics are in a lot of the books and his mother continues to breed one of the more famous lines of D/H ...I asked him how much pups were he said £800-£1000 ....I asked would she give me one as he knows how much I was doing with the big dogs especially at that time ... my thoughts were I would put as much in front of the hound to see if it was worth breeding from but the answer was a defiant no which showed to me the way this breed was going which its a real pity ...hopefully there are a few lads still working them hard and breeding them right as I would love to have another one day Quote Link to post
