Wolfdog91 7,043
From what I understand the Collarum has been cleared for use by the EU, does anyone use them ? I haven't just due to he fact foot holds are much cheaper ($120 per dozen for most #1.75 sized traps ) collarums run round $ for the Fox model and $100 for the coyote. But at the same time most cages run the same price so if I could only use one or the other I'd most likely go with the Collarum. And on a separate note, is the belisle foot snare legal over there ? I have bout a dozen that I'm pretty up way with! Thanks ! Stay Blessed! Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
The Collarum has been available in the UK for several years now. It has its uses and can be very effective, but not widely used, pal of mine swears by his! Don't know the Belisle foot snare. Quote Link to post
EDDIE B 3,166
The feckin price of them! Over 120 pound for a trap. Doubt if there's many sold in the UK per annum. Quote Link to post
swarmcatcher 15
You have to really think about placement so as to ensure you don't end up strangling the fox - can be difficult in confined spaces Mean while the area around your fixing point gets trashed So all in all not necessarily the most sensible choice for urban fox control Be interested to hear of circumstances that its proved to work well - always open to additional solutions, not that we get that much in the way of urban fox control - not like the lads in london and home counties Quote Link to post

A bespoke variation of the Aldrich was approved for use by a single person, for a single use, but he's dead now! It is similar but not the same as the production model Quote Link to post
