twymanc 135
Hello people was just curious how many off you air gunners using pcps declare to your insurance company's that you will be carrying compressed air in your vehicles and if so does it make a major difference on your premium I recently had to renew mine and was asked the above I'm a floorlayer by trade and always have had spray adhesive on my van/car and never thought about it any views or opinions appreciated atb Craig Quote Link to post
walshie 2,804
I wouldn't think anyone declares it. Why would you? Quote Link to post
Jonjon79 13,358
To be honest, I've never thought about it before. I only ever have my 3ltr bottle in the car when going to or from the dive shop. My rifles are only ever in the car when going to or from the range or a permission. I'm not going to mention it - Insurance companies are money grabbing shisters at the best of times - I've never had an accident and I've never had points on my license yet, my premium still went up this year. I'm not giving them any more reason to bend me over. Edited May 18, 2016 by Jonjon79 2 Quote Link to post

Mine went down 500 pound to stay with them what was quite shocking cos normally it goes up so you then have to change company's and pay a deposit and bla bla lol Quote Link to post
treecreeper 1,136
No I don't, from memory I don't think you have to tell them anyway unless it's in there perminantly. But you should have a little green sticker on your car saying compressed gas but doubt anyone gives a shit. Wouldn't mind my insurance going down 500 quid they would owe me about 250? stealthy1 3,964
What they don't need to know, don't tell them, if they ask, say you transport in on your roof rack. Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
You should have to sort of sticker saying you are carrying compressed air or any other gas bottles for that matter, just in case you are involved in some sort of accident and the fire brigade need to know 1 Quote Link to post
