Guest SJM
My pups very much the same (same age too) she will fetch a small dummy and a tennis ball no bother at all, but her first couple of rabbits she has f****d around with them a bit, dropping them and then standing over them. I just try to stay calm and encourage her with it, and make sure I dont walk to meet her or I could start the wheels in motion for a non retreiver. Last bunny she had she brought it half way and then stood over it and refused to come so I just walked away calling her and she came flying but minus the rabbit I had to walk back and get it, but at least she came when called and I didnt give in and walk out to her and take it off her. Theres always next time, and the time after and I will just keep doing the same thing until she realises shes required to bring the rabbit and I will give her loads of praise when she does Quote Link to post
