gwalchmai4110 1,758
the weather is faaaaarrrrrrr to hot for me. im a typical winger to be honest and being a fat b*****d this heat melts me my white mutts have been enjoying there time off lately with long walks early in the morning along the river bank to keep them cool. they get to hunt mink that are in good numbers on all the little streams by my home so this keeps them ticking over. but when my phone rang at 9 o clock saturday night i knew it was the call all terriermen should dread this time of year. it was off a farmer who is also a very good friend and he was a little miffed to say the least!! he had just come home to find his daughters pekin bantams scattered over the lawn and a nice big fox making his way up the bank to take retreat in an old earth in the gorse. I tried palming him off to start and i told him the weather was far to hot but this was not going to wash and he started saying he may have to get some one in to rifle it, at this point i did a u turn on my previous statement and told him i would be there first thing in the morning. i loaded some mutts up and left my house at 4;30 hoping to beat the heat on my poor little mutts! i arrived at 5;45, collared up a dog and turned him loose as i walked through the gorse. before long i saw ffloyd dissapear under the sod and by the time i reached him i could hear he was up close and personal. the red brick read 0.6 and the rest as they say was history! one fine dog fox payed the ultimate price for his sins. one happy farmer and dogs were back home for breakfast! 13 Quote Link to post

Great getting them going in some shallow setts eh, good pack there, in a little jealous u have a lot off mink, my terrors have been enjoying playing footy in the garden with the kids an the pup likes the trampoline lol yes mate, the tan and white dog on his own would be around 14 months old, has had a good start but next year will tell. the black and white dog in the photo is mr clock work, an average dog......but consistently average. and the little lemon and white bitch is 10 months old so will be looking to start her next season. yes there are plenty of mink about the place, i must admit i get quite into a decent mink hunt along the stream. lol young dogs love it and really gets they prey drive going. atb 1 Quote Link to post

Pick and bar 381
Had my lakie dog today patheticcally trying to bay and foot stomp a bee, this old lad has very little respect for anything and to his fault rarely speaks. To see him making a major thing of this bee just made me chuckle, lve heard more off him tday than in his eight yrs. " summer time happiness" at least now I know he can bark. 1 Quote Link to post
