Rez 4,961
As though everyone weren't out on the game this afternoon and yesterday, I trekked it up too. Managed a quick rabbit after checking all my kit was in order, in a lovely wooded area... the pong of spring flowers was high. This wooded area was were I grabbed my first ever rabbit 3 years ago on this perm, so it was a nice place to start this afternoon. The chance was there to take a quick pic beside the tree I used as a support, you cant see the rabbit but its at the base of the far big tree in the centre of the pic,, I did forget my range finder though, annoying, but gave it about half inch to the left with the wind and the pellet struck the high neck area. The rabbit jumped with shock, as they sometimes do and lay still. I bumped into the landowners old man and offered him it, knowing he'd say no, but the sod only saw it as a good slow cooker sized rabbit and happily took it off me. I headed over to the usual 'hide' area with my favourite trees and took two birds. One in particular took a pellet to the back of its head and I swear it thought it had just fallen to sleep. 2 Quote Link to post
