Born Hunter 17,841
LOL, I'm probably gonna get flack for this but does anyone else get a buzz when voting? It's just one of those 'greater than me' things that really is a pleasure to be a part of....... even if I do think the whole democracy thing is totally f****d. Ha! Maybe it's because I've only voted in a handful of elections, it's still novel?

Getting involved in the count if you can in your area is great craic too. If you're a bit of a politics geek anyway

Said on the other thread mate, our station was in the church hall in the grounds of the main church, the bells were ringing out this evening as we cast our vote, it gave me a bit of a shiver tbh, we both agreed this was the biggest thing we've voted on. 2 people today said they were voting to remain (other than the cafe woman) my next door neighbour and a bloke who works for me, and both of them apologised for it??? Why??
Born Hunter 17,841
I was on the way to the gym when I nipped in to vote, mind went blank when asked where I live, lol. It's not like I haven't done it all several times before but I think I just get caught up in the anticipation of change and moment. I came out feeling absolutely pumped! Crossed the f**k out of LEAVE, lol, got my money's worth! This is what it's all about for me, why I'm so passionately certain. It's about my vote having the biggest impact possible. Keeping our democratic system as accountable and functional as possible for the British people.

This is what happens when people start throwing around words like traitor etc. They made their democratic choice as they're entitled to and shouldn't feel the need to apologise to anyone. (Don't mean to say you made them feel like they need to apologise, just the rhetoric around the campaigns in general) Edited June 23, 2016 by BGD

Maybe John, I also think in truth our life isn't too bad down here, so they believe it will remain like this. But it's changing, the south west won't be the way it is now in 10 years time of that I'm sure.
