I don't often post on here but I had the privilege of photographing some Dotterels and a Bluethroat yesterday and thought you guys might appreciate my efforts..

Feel a little sorry for the dotterels, as a fine and dandy visitor he's looking a little like an ugly sister next to that blue throat, well done you, I've just added to a thread in the falconry section some of you rare bird buffs might be interested in its a uk first

cracking pics zandy..

love tracking these on birdguides,they usually jump from Norfolk [chosley drying barns] then on to north lincs coast were I live,,but only two's turned up [yesterday]..trouble is round here we only see them on pea/beet fields..is it the same up your way?

The Dotterel were up on the moors and the Bluethroat was on the coast at Hartlepool, it was actually on a green bowls green opposite a housing estate, was spotted on the Friday and last sighting was Saturday evening when my photos were taken, loads of reports of people going to seek it on the Sunday but must've moved on.
